Your Bargaining Committee has been busy with bargaining preparations and we wanted to provide you an update on what’s been happening.

Meetings with the Employer
|
We have finally secured dates with the Employer until the middle of December! The first day we are meeting as a complete Bargaining Group and sharing proposals is September 17th. We also have September 19, 24, 25; October 9, 15, 22, 23; November 5, 14, 15, 28, 29; and December 9, 10, 18, 19 booked with the employer; these are full-day bargaining sessions. The Bargaining Committee will also be meeting on other days during this period in order to work on our Counter-Proposals.

Proposals to the YUSA Executive Board
|
We will be presenting the majority of our non-monetary proposals to the YUSA Executive Board on September 12th. The remaining proposals, including any monetary proposals, will be presented at a future Executive Board meeting.

|
We continue to prepare our proposals, which include new Articles, Letters of Understanding, and Letters of Intent, as well as updated language throughout the Collective Agreement. We want to thank everyone who submitted proposals and those that attended our Town Halls, Drop-ins, and information sessions. We are stronger together!

Call for Volunteers - Join the Task Force
|
Have you signed up for the bargaining task force? YUSA is preparing for a crucial round of bargaining with the Employer and is calling for active member participation to help secure the best outcome. Members are encouraged to volunteer for two task forces: the Member Engagement, Outreach, and Communication Task Force, which focuses on organizing, spreading information, and building solidarity, and the Logistics and Planning Task Force, which handles event coordination, strategic planning, and resource management.
